The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund promotes equality for women in higher education and fosters institutional change through support of appropriate sex discrimination lawsuits. LAF provides support to workplace sex discrimination cases and to cases of gender discrimination in educational settings that have the potential to make a difference for all women.
Funds are raised through donations and an annual project. LAF provides funding and a support system for women seeking judicial redress. LAF is the nation’s largest legal fund focused solely on sex discrimination in higher education.
